From the Tanet ski resort, follow the path marked with a yellow disc towards Lac Vert (or Soultzeren). Cross the dam and take the path marked with a yellow disc, pass in front of the Erischon refuge and continue towards Lac du Forlet, reached after a good hour's walk.
After the lake dam, leave the yellow disc marker for the red disc towards the Black and White Lakes. At the Haufenwannkopf, take the yellow triangle marker towards the Gazon du Faing. Steep climb towards the Altenkraekopf to reach the Gazon du Faing.

For romantics who want to enjoy the sunset from the Gazon du Faing, at an altitude of 1300 meters, plan to start the hike in the late afternoon. This winter, we were treated to a beautiful sunset over a sea of clouds that surrounded the entire Vosges.

LAC BLANC - HONECK

This hike, which starts from Lac Blanc, will take you to Hohneck, the third highest peak in the Vosges, along the Vosges ridges. The view is fantastic all along the way. We did the round trip in three stages, with two nights of bivouac.

View of the White Lake

The first day we left in the middle of the afternoon from the Col du Calvaire (just above the Lac Blanc) where we left the car, then stopped at nightfall about 2/3 of the way through the hike. The next day we reached the Hohneck where we ate and enjoyed the view, then we retraced our steps towards the Lac Blanc.

THE TEMPLE OF DONON

Set off to conquer the temple of Donon located in the commune of Grandfontaine, in the Bruche Valley. This hike offers a journey into the past in a fascinating landscape. Admire the remains of a Celtic sanctuary while enjoying a 360° panorama of Alsace on one side and Lorraine on the other. Other Gallo-Roman remains surround the place.

The temple, which rises to an altitude of 1,009 metres and dates from the 19th century, stands majestically on a rocky platform, ideal for a picnic in front of the colours of the sunset on summer evenings.
